When we humans decide to purchase a thing, we are telling the company that made it that we like and agree with their products. But it goes beyond that. We are also telling them that we agree with their prices, and maybe we also agree with the company and its policies. Though, the latter usually doesn’t cross people's minds.
While we travel, we always aim to purchase our food from small stand-alone local vendors, as opposed to going to a grocery store or large supermarket chain. We enjoy the interaction with the person selling the goods, and we like knowing that our money goes straight into their pockets.
Not an advertising firms, not a highly-paid manager, not some corporate monster.
