Excellent and thought provoking article Roberta. We rode camels for the first time in Morocco and I also didn't really like it. I felt like I was on the brink of falling off at all times and it isn't exactly a smooth ride. But I also don't like using animals in such a way, especially when we are very capable of walking. Thanks for highlighting another annoying aspect of the tourist industry.
