Fiji is a wonderful place to visit. I spent three weeks there over the millenium, (plus visited the Cook Islands and Tonga) almost 25 years ago now. Funny thing is we were served a strange meat in one camp we stayed in. It’s a long story but I came to the conclusion that it was rats we were eating. Maybe it was bats! Lol.

Sounds like important work you were doing. I’m glad the women are finding their voices in those countries. I long to revisit the South Pacific as it is certainly one of my favorite regions of our planet. But I am very concerned about their long-term outlook when it comes to climate change. Great writing, as usual, Tim.
