Haha, interesting insights. My partner and I are nomadic and have been for 7 years. I definitely relate to much of what you have said here. Though we have caved occasionally and have rented a car, we generally only go places where public transit goes. This means we miss a lot. If we were to live in a certain place for a long length of time, I can see that buying a car would be a viable solution to getting to know a place. Especially when you have a few kids to tote around.
