I appreciate your comments here, especially because you are Egyptian. To be clear, it was an Egyptian man that told us it was the national sport. We talked with him for over an hour about how out of control the harassment of tourists had become and he was ashamed. We had only been there one day at this point so it was mostly him telling us about it. I do agree that if we go back it will not be on a budget and we will hire guides to take us around.
