I love this line so much Sam! Curiosity is certainly our compass in this traveling life. If we are curious, we go check it out. However, different from you, we have way too much stuff and could never simply walk anywhere with it lol.

I love this realization you had though. This is the beauty of this life we have created. We have no ties, and can really and truly do whatever we feel like and chase any whim at any moment. It's a freedom that not many will ever experience.

These aha moments shape who we are. I applaud you for seriously considering it. But I do agree, it isn't exactly the right time of year for such expeditions. But, at another time and place, when the conditions are right, you can simply follow your bliss.
