I remember getting $20/month at one point but I’m not sure how long that lasted or how old I was. At 12 I got my babysitting license and I was off to the races making lots of money doing that. Then at 14 I had an actual part time job picking driving range balls. From there I always made my own money. But yeah, I remember at some point getting my $20/month with no strings attached.
