I totally understand what you are saying Sara. I even have these thoughts about Canada.....I know. It's not the danger there, of course, but being away for so long gives you a perspective that you just can't get when you are living in it. Canada is not a place I want to return to even though it is constantly ranked as one of the top countries in the world. There is a lack of freedom there that is hard to put your finger on, but I think it's the hustle culture that I am the most against. It's impossible to live in a place like Canada without working your fingers to the bone. Many places in the world hold quality of life as a bigger metric of a good life, not money. I hate the crush to make money constantly in Canada, you have to if you want to survive.
