It’s interesting that we are nearing our 6 year anniversary as well and I’m feeling a bit the same way. We came back to Canada in the spring to visit and we are still here. We are still nomading around the country, visiting friends and family, but it is more comfortable because we know we can stay as long as we want. That is what exhausted me the most. The constant knowing that we only had x amount of months and trying to figure out a new plan to determine what’s next. Here we can truly just take it one day at a time without the constant worry of what’s on the horizon.

We spent 4 months in my home town this summer and it was hard. I certainly don’t belong there anymore. I felt like the locals regarded me as a foreigner. I haven’t lined there in 20+ years, so I guess I am. We have our sights set on the east coast next. A couple volunteer jobs are pulling us out there. We will see what transpires. In the meantime, we do the best we can each day.
