Ko-fi Newbie — Spreading Love Through Art

I’ve finally taken the plunge!

Ko-fi? What the heck is Ko-fi?

This was a question that I had back when I joined Medium. Chris had been mentioning it to me as he had signed up for it, but I didn’t really understand what it was.

I had heard of Buy Me a Coffee, so I assumed that this was a take on that. Ko-fi can also sound like coffee. Is that the intention?

I’m pretty sure it is.

As I have been writing here for these last few months, I have noticed that many have links at the bottom of their articles that direct their readers to contribute to their Ko-fi pages.

At first, I was skeptical. It just seemed like another social media thing that I would have to work hard at to gain followers.

Then today, I finally went and checked it out. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I enjoyed my experience there. In fact, I realized that it is an awesome place to promote our mural painting projects, and the photo gallery gives me space to store all of our project photos.

Stay tuned because there will be a HUGE influx of photos coming into this space over the next while!
