My Friend Had the Best Job During the Pandemic
While most were hating life, he was having the best time and making good money, to boot!
A couple of days ago, I read a post by Jon Gluck that asks us to share our pandemic stories.
I have already written about what happened to us in Morocco, and how the world shut down around us without us really understanding what was happening.
It was an incredibly scary and unpredictable time and one that will stay with me forever. Plus, I learned valuable lessons through the pandemic, ones that I likely wouldn’t have learned easily if I wasn’t forced to.
But this article isn’t about me. It’s about my German friend, Nico.
We initially met Nico in Costa Rica in 2018. The three of us had fled south from Nicaragua as a civil war had erupted in the country while we were there. We bonded over our shared experiences and sought solace and comfort together having understood what each other had been through.
