My partner and I spent 2.5 years in Africa, 12 months in Uganda, between 2021/2022. The whole time I was reading your article my mind was thinking ‘just give him some money’. It’s sad how corrupt things are in that part of the world but it seems to be just the way it goes. I am sad to hear about kidnappings and attacks on tourists there these days, though.
