Oh Celeste we are certainly cut from the same cloth! I used to also say that I couldn't paint and could only draw. It was then that I also discovered watercolor pencil crayons. I absolutely loved them until we gave our whole 72 pencil set to a friend in Guatemala. I do regret it though, I miss them! Many of my word art peices were done with watercolour pencils. They really are awesome! You may soon realize that you do like painting.......maybe these are the gateway drug. lol
