Sounds like you have solid reasons to stay! I agree with you on many points. Many countries in the world operate in a much more civilized manner than the 'western world.' I'm surprised at Japan's housing market. It is amazing that housing hasn't been made a commodity of which you can turn a profit over and over. It really does show that people come first there.
