Thank Goodness We Have Nothing In Storage

We would be so angry if we did.

When we decided to sell everything in Canada in 2017 to set out traveling, we were certainly met with a bit of resistance.

“Are you sure about selling your house?” Many people asked. “What if you need something to come back to?”

Our answer was always the same.

“We don’t plan on coming back.”

“But you could rent it out and make money on it while you are away.” They would suggest.

“I don’t want to be out in the middle of the Pacific Ocean when our hot water tank decides to quit, and we have to deal with the annoyance of that while we are trying to enjoy ourselves.”

No thanks!

Many also thought that we should just keep some stuff and put it into storage.

Why? So we can pay storage fees for crap that we don’t need in our day-to-day lives?

I can’t imagine a bigger waste of money.

And for what? So that in 10 years we can come back and see what we used to have in our house?

At times, wading through the muddy waters of other people's fears, was the hardest part of making this decision. It seemed…
