Thanks Laura. I know full well that many African cities are clean but we have also been to many that aren’t. Garbage is a very real problem, specifically plastic pollution, in many places of the world. Of course I understand what you are saying but I didn’t mean it in that context.

As for the Nubians, they are a tribe that actually is from the area of Northern Sudan and Southern Egypt. Of course they existed on their lands long before borders split them into two countries. They themselves don’t identify as Egyptians and we had long conversations with a few of them about this. They have a very different culture than the rest of Egypt. And they are much different people.
