This Is My 500th Article on Medium
All I can say is WOW!
Okay, despite my subtitle, I have a bit more to say than ‘WOW’ with regard to writing my 500th article. But where do I even begin?
I guess one never knows when they are about to have a profound moment. It’s only in the recollection and looking back that we can understand it. Discovering Medium was a profound moment for me in my life, but I sure didn’t realize it then.
I joined Medium back in January of 2022. For two weeks I simply read other people's stories to get a feel for things. Then one day, I decided it was my turn to write. I really wasn’t sure how it would go, but I felt like it couldn’t hurt to at least give it a try.
Some way, somehow, my very first article got over 600 views! I was ecstatic with the response to my writing and decided to keep going.
In no time at all I fell in love with the Medium community. The support and encouragement I felt was a breath of fresh air. I had been beating my head against the wall over on Facebook and I was getting to be so tired of social…
