This is so interesting, Sandeep! We were shocked by how much skin color plays a role in Africa when we were there. And the fact that there is actual racism between different color groupings (of the same color) was very interesting. Of course, we were treated very well-sometimes far too well- because of our skin color. More than anything, while we were there, I just wanted to blend in and be seen as a normal human like the rest. An impossible wish it seemed.
