We are nomadic and don’t have a home base. So we really had no option but to keep “traveling” during the pandemic. Besides, this part of the world had no restrictions and they weren’t controlling their citizens in the same way that we heard of in North America or Europe. Africa was largely unscathed by COVID. Nobody was told not to travel and it was a completely different scene. Anyways, I’m also not sure where you saw me say that the government was from the Stone Age? Maybe you saw that in the video. It isn’t our video, to be clear.

As for our mural the owner of the hostel where volunteered to do artwork wasn’t listening to us when we told him how long it would take. Every day he was pressuring us and complaining that it was taking too long even though we clearly explained how long it was going to take. It just became all too much with him constantly hassling us plus the hassle we got in the streets.

We volunteer to do our art because we love gifting our art to others. But when they create an environment that is not enjoyable, we have the option to leave. That is what we did.

For the record we didn’t leave it half finished. We finished it to a point where it looked fine, it just wasn’t to our final vision for the project. You can take a look at it if you want at www.artistic voyages.com/murals. If you click the drop down menu you will be taken straight to the Egypt section. Thanks.
