Why Being a Digital Nomad Is Not a Job!

It’s because you actually need a job to become one!

I’ve seen it a lot now. People go onto Digital Nomad pages on Facebook and declare that they want to become Digital Nomads. Some are simply looking to do something different with their lives, but some say that they are finishing high school, and they want to be a Digital Nomad as a career choice.

“It sounds like such a cool job.” They write. “How do I become a Digital Nomad?”

Well, I’m here to tell you that the term Digital Nomad is not a job description, it is a lifestyle description. Digital Nomads are people that travel around the world and make money from something that they do online.

But, the thing with being a Digital Nomad is that you have to have an actual job to become one.

This means that you have to find an online niche that works for you first, then you become nomadic, then you become a ‘Digital Nomad’. Or, in our case, you become nomadic, then you realize that you need to make money somehow, then you go online and find a way to do that. Only then, do you become a Digital Nomad.
